Hi, I'm Davide Pluda, one of the students who participated in the Atlantis program with the GeorgiaTech Institute of Technology in 2009.

My experience at the GIT has been one of the best of my life, useless to say unforgettable.

All the courses that I attended were very interesting, with professor always helpful and state of the art technology available for study and research projects. One of the best aspect of the American university system is the multidisciplinary of the classes. In the same course there was students from different areas, aspect that is very important because push innovation and creativity, looking at the problem from different perspective.

The American motto is "work hard, play hard". I spent most of my time reading papers and working on projects, but always convinced that I was doing something enjoyable. From the other side I had the opportunity to participate in a lot of events organized by the university and associations, always useful to meet new friends. Friends that I will never forget, because each of them gave me something that makes me what I am today. I am still in contact with most of them, for future work projects and opportunities. Going to USA was not just being in contact with the American culture but with all the cultures of the world. This experience opened my mind and made me what I am today, citizen of the world.

Today I am living a similar experience and exploring a new culture, I am working on a research project at the university PUCRS in Porto Alegre, Brasil. I am studying how ICT can improve the quality of life of people, in particular in the physical activity area.
